❤️⚔️😰 pt.2

rest more. love more.

We are called to do what God did after creating, Rest. (Genesis 2 )
Rest doesn’t mean be lazy, leading to a place of boredom or being a terrible mood. Rest in God’s context means to stop one thing so we can be very intentional with the people we love around us.  In this moment God is teaching us how to have real rest during this chaotic time.

Main verses :
Psalms 23 : 1 - 3
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.

Have your parents, coaches, or teachers made you do something that you really don’t want to do but then you find out after it’s done, that it really helped you?  How did that go? Was it stressful?  Inconvenient?  Did it take a lot of time?

Focus on the phrase, "He makes us lie down in green pastures..."   That phrase shows that sometimes He makes us slow down to see how "green" we have it, and makes us value the people, home, and things we have even more.  How everything we have is a blessing from the Lord.

When we’re well rested, we can fully be  intentional with the people we're around and love them well by serving them, by listening to them, or by simply getting enough sleep so when we are not grouchy and mean towards others.

Big Idea : when we're fully rested, we can fully love the people around us.
